About the role

Remote (US), Central Time preferred Full-time Posted August 18, 2026 Company Wolfram Chemical and Manufacturing Corporation is developing a large-scale greenfield refining project configured for American light sweet crude from the Permian Basin. The concept is a ~500,000 barrel-per-day facility with a phased, fuels-first design (gasoline, jet, diesel) and the option for later petrochemical expansion. The project is currently at FEL-1. We are raising seed capital to build a small core team of experienced operators and technical support, harden the development package, and prepare for broader engagement with EPCs and project stakeholders. We are founder-led and focused on practical development: clear configuration, disciplined economics, and attracting people who have delivered energy projects at scale.
About the role: We need someone who understands how crude is bought and sold and how refined products move: relationships, structures, and what makes a product slate bankable.
What you’ll do: Map realistic crude supply options for a Permian-oriented light sweet slate Develop early product placement logic (RBOB, jet, diesel)Open conversations with producers, marketers, and offtake-side contacts Strengthen the commercial narrative for capital and partners
What we’re looking for: Background in crude supply/marketing, fuels commercial, trading, or downstream commercial roles Existing sense of buyer/seller dynamics in oil and refined products Willingness to join a development-stage effort contingent on financing Compensation Base salary contingent on close of seed financing (target on the order of $250k for the right profile).
Equity: approximately 1% of the Class B / employee pool, 4-year vest with a 1-year cliff. Location Remote (US), Central Time preferred. Future on-site (Texas) or hybrid work is possible as the project advances.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
