Summit and Portage County - Private Family PracticeWe are a two-location private family eye care practice that has served Summit and Portage County for over 30 years, and we're hiring a new optician/technician to join our optical team! *Starting wage based on experience, certification, and or licensure*
Job Description: Assist customers in selecting their new eyewear to match the patient's style and prescription needs Adjust and repair frames to ensure comfortable fit Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and options to patients Perform appropriate optical-related measurements Determine patients' current lens prescription when necessary Understand how to interpret insurance benefits Submitting glasses orders to the appropriate insurance company Assisting in the ordering of contact lenses Teach patients how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses
