Hedge Fund Middle Office Operations - Reconciliation / Fail Control (NYC)Large Multi Strategy (HF/PE) fund seeks experienced Middle Office Operations specialists to support daily reconciliation and control functions across cash & trades, P&L, positions, and trade affirmation/confirmation activities. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of middle-office records, supporting NAV production, and driving timely resolution of breaks with fund administrators, counterparties, and internal stakeholders
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily reconciliations across cash, trades, positions, accruals, and P&LMonitor T+0 trade affirmation and confirmation processes for cash securities, derivatives, and OTC products Reconcile OMS/PMS records against fund accounting books and records Investigate, escalate, and resolve reconciliation breaks while maintaining strong audit trails Partner with fund administrators, prime brokers, counterparties, Product Control, and Front Office teams to resolve exceptions Support reconciliation reporting, SLA monitoring, and NAV sign-off processes Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency Qualification 5+ years of experience in Fund Operations, Product Control, Middle Office, or Reconciliation Experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, prime broker, or fund administrator preferred Strong knowledge of multi-asset class reconciliations, trade lifecycle processes, and fund accounting Familiarity with affirmation and confirmation platforms such as CTM, Traiana, ALERT, Markit Wire, or similar Proven analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Demonstrated AI fluency and the ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, analysis, and workflow quality Qualified candidates should send resumes to ws@rockwood-search.com.
