Required Skills & Experience: 1+ years scheduling for gastrology, oncology, radiation, urology, or surgery. OR 3+ years of scheduling in a generic practice. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and interruptions. Experience using scheduling systems, EMR, or related healthcare software. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willing to travel occasionally to sister sites for extra support. Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience with insurance authorizations, referrals, or specialty healthcare scheduling.
Job Description: The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient appointments and treatments in an efficient and timely manner. This position supports a busy oncology practice with a primary focus on scheduling chemotherapy and infusion appointments, managing patient schedules, coordinating referrals and authorizations, and serving as a liaison between patients and clinical staff. The Scheduler supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
