About the role
Regal Heights Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Adult Day Health Care Program Director to lead the reopening, growth, and daily operations of our Adult Day Health Care program in Jackson Heights, Queens. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who understands ADHC operations and is excited to build a strong, welcoming program for the community. The Director will oversee program operations, compliance, staffing, census development, referral relationships, and the overall registrant experience. Prior Adult Day Health Care experience is required.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the reopening and ongoing operation of the ADHC programOversee daily program activities, staffing, scheduling, and service deliveryEnsure compliance with NYS Department of Health, HCBS, Medicaid, and applicable ADHC requirementsMaintain complete and accurate registrant records, assessments, care plans, and required documentationPrepare the program for surveys, reviews, interviews, and regulatory visitsRecruit, train, supervise, and support program staffWork closely with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, activities, dietary, transportation, and facility leadershipDevelop and maintain relationships with MLTC plans, referral sources, hospitals, community organizations, families, and healthcare providersSupport census growth through outreach, referrals, and strong community relationshipsCoordinate registrant admissions and ensure a smooth onboarding processMonitor program quality, attendance, satisfaction, and operational performanceCreate a safe, organized, engaging, and person-centered environment for registrantsQualifications: Previous management or leadership experience in an Adult Day Health Care program is requiredStrong understanding of ADHC operations and New York State regulatory requirementsExperience with Medicaid, MLTC plans, care planning, compliance, and census developmentStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work closely with clinical and administrative teamsBachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, public health, business, or a related field preferredWhat We Offer: Competitive salaryMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off 401(k) Supportive facility leadershipOpportunity to play a major role in rebuilding and growing an important community program
