About the role

We are partnered with a world-class HFT firm looking to hire exceptional C++ Software Engineers to help build and refine ultra-low latency systems, with direct ownership over performance-critical components that sit close to the core of the business where microseconds matter. Build and evolve high-performance C++ systems with a focus on latency, throughput, and scalability Analyse and optimise systems by identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks Contribute to technical direction with a performance-first mindset Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field Solid C++ experience is non-negotiable (recent hands-on development required) Proven track record working on latency-sensitive or performance-critical systems Deep understanding of: multi-threading, lock-free programming, memory management, concurrency, or CPU architecture Ability to work in environments where performance is a primary design constraint

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
