About the Opportunity: A premier, defense-focused litigation practice in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorneyto join its growing team. This opportunity offers 100% remote flexibility, allowing you to manage your practice from anywhere in Louisiana while working alongside experienced trial attorneys on a diverse range of insurance defense matters. Key Responsibilities: Independently manage a caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters. Handle all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation and pre-suit investigation through discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation. Draft pleadings, motions, dispositive motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents. Conduct and defend depositions involving plaintiffs, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives. Handle court appearances, hearings, mediations, and other litigation-related proceedings.
Qualifications & Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.)from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar. 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in Insurance Defense, General Liability, Personal Injury Defense, or related practice areas. Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and litigation strategy. Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to independently manage a caseload and work effectively in a100% remote environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between$130,000 – $200,000.Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
