TRAVEL: Occupational Therapy Assistant
Location: Wesley Medical Center Floor: 1 st Shift Time: Start Time: 08:00 AM End Time: 04:00 PM
Shift Type: Night Shif General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – OT Daily Census of approx. 250 active consults/day · Number of Staff – Headcount 30, FTEs 17.29 · Type of staff: · 2:1 OTR to COTA ratio · Patient Ratios – Typically 9-13 assigned to COTAs/day (not expected to see all) · Type of equipment – general acute care DME Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Minimum 6 months acute care hospital OT experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Best personality Fit: · Ability to work independently with little oversight; high accountability · Good communication and collaboration skills · Flexibility given the nature of practice in acute care Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. *Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent. Wesley Medical Center has a large therapy team working in a complex acute care environment with a wide variety of diagnosis groups. We have a very collaborative team and offer flexible scheduling to meet your needs. Our staff enjoy a great deal of autonomy in care planning for patients and work hand in hand with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of our patients and the community at large.
