About the role

EMS/Medical DispatcherOur hospital-based ambulance transport service is seeking an experienced EMS/Medical dispatcher. The job responsibilities will include receiving calls and dispatching appropriate staff for six ground transport ambulances. The work week will consist of 8-hour days M-F, and the applicant must be flexible as the schedule will be based on departmental needs, including occasional weekend vacation coverage. The candidate can expect a general hospital orientation combined with a unit-specific orientation with preceptorship. The length of your orientation will be based on your experience and level of comfort. The position will require the applicant to be proficient with Windows-based computer programs, including MS Office; have effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
