About the role
Job Title Operates on-line computers and performs related clerical duties of average difficulty.
Essential Functions:
Type alphabetic or numeric data on a keyboard at a computer terminal using a coding system; Compare data on screen with source documents to detect errors; Check for errors and verify questionable data with originating department; Retrieve data from computer files when requested; File hard copy documents; Answer the telephone.
Qualifications:
Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional one to three years of experience operating an on-line computer keyboard terminal; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following: Valid Driving License
Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of: Operation of computer terminal. Ability to: Make comparisons and calculations with reasonable accuracy and speed; Perform clerical work of average difficulty; Communicate effectively with others
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds;
Occasionally walk, stand bend and kneel during a shift;
Occasionally flex upper trunk forward and at the waist and partially flexing of knees;
Occasionally rotate upper trunk to the right or left or forward while sitting or standing
