About the role
Position Purpose:
Provide effective trust administration and investment advice to trust clientsProactively develop client relationships and new business throughout Denver/Boulder areaEducation/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration 5+ years’ experience as a Trust Officer or Trust Relationship Manager responsible for a book of clients containing various types of trust, agency, and estate settlement accounts desiredJD, CTFA or other trust certification preferredKnowledge and Skill Requirements: Business developmentIntermediate/Advanced knowledge of trust, estate, and investing services and applicable lawsAbility to maintain confidentiality of informationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to professionally interact with all personsEffectively work as a team member and independently as requiredSuperior organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through and accuracyDependable, cooperative and adaptableSkills, Responsibilities and Duties: Build and maintain highly respected and confidential relationships with clients and beneficiariesMaintain the highest level of client satisfaction with AMG and its servicesBuild and maintain relationships with co-trustees, attorneys, community leaders, accountants, and othersDevelop new business; obtain and follow up on referrals to new clients; use prospect database appropriatelyHelp build and maintain awareness of AMG in the communityFully understand and help market the full array of AMG’s servicesMaintain up-to-date knowledge on matters related to trusts, estates, investments and related areasReview, understand, summarize and comply with trust legal documentsDetermine appropriate actions for accounts; proactively take and appropriately document such actionsEnsure compliance with policies, procedures, governing documents and applicable regulationsOversee investments and cash in client accounts; Process distributions from client accountsReview accounts with clients on a periodic basisDetermine that all tax returns are filed timely, including quarterly estimated paymentsCorrespond with grantors, beneficiaries, co-trustees and others about accounts, as appropriatePrepare and process court accountingsEffectively set and communicate prioritiesRegularly attend and actively participate in conference calls and staff meetings as requestedDemonstrate a positive attitude, self-motivation, hard work, follow-through, high-quality work, accuracy, attention to detail, effective judgmentAdapt to changes and new responsibilitiesOperate standard office machines, including computer, printer, scanners, copy machines, fax machines, postage machineOther duties as assigned
