Customer Service Representative
foundryOak Ridge (NJ)
About the role
The Foundry | New York, NYGood with people? We’re interested. Really good with people? Even better. The Foundry is growing its NYC team and looking for outgoing, personable individuals who know how to make a great first impression. As a CSR, you’ll work directly with customers on behalf of the brands we represent. This is a face-to-face position built around conversation, customer experience, relationship building and making sure every interaction represents our clients in the right way. If you’ve worked in customer service, hospitality, restaurants, retail or another people-focused environment, you probably already have many of the skills we’re looking for. What will you be doing? You’ll work as part of an energetic team representing client campaigns throughout the New York market.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with customers face-to-face
- Creating positive, professional customer experiences
- Answering questions and communicating client information clearly
- Learning how to understand different customer needs
- Building rapport and developing strong customer relationships
- Supporting customer acquisition and campaign objectives
- Working alongside your team to achieve daily and weekly goals
- Developing your communication, confidence and commercial awareness
- Who are we looking for?
- We can teach you our campaigns. We can't teach you to enjoy dealing with people.
- That’s why personality matters here.
- We’re particularly interested in people who are:
- Naturally friendly, confident and conversational
- Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people
- Good listeners as well as good talkers
- Positive and professional, even when things get busy
- Energetic and comfortable working in a social environment
- Reliable and willing to take responsibility
- Open to coaching, feedback and learning new skills
- Motivated by goals and personal improvement
- Previous customer-facing experience is welcome, but it doesn't have to come from a traditional customer service role. Bartenders, servers, retail associates, hosts, event staff and hospitality professionals often have exactly the kind of communication skills that translate well into what we do.
- Why The Foundry?
- We’re a high-energy, people-focused business. We believe confidence is built through experience, communication improves through actually communicating, and the best way to learn how businesses attract and retain customers is to get involved.
- For people who perform well and want to keep developing, there is also scope to learn more about sales, marketing, campaign management, training and team leadership as you progress.
- If you’re looking for something social, fast-paced and genuinely face-to-face, we’d like to hear from you.

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
