Salary: $75,000–$90,000/year + Performance Incentives About Fisher Space Pen Fisher Space Pen Co. is an American manufacturer best known for developing the pressurized Space Pen used by astronauts in space. For more than 50 years, our products have been manufactured in Boulder City, Nevada and sold throughout the United States and around the world. We are looking for an experienced, driven Business Development Manager – Retail & Strategic Accounts to expand Fisher Space Pen's domestic retail presence and develop new strategic accounts.
Position Overview: The primary responsibility of this position is new business development. This is a proactive sales role focused on identifying, pursuing, and opening new retail accounts, including independent retailers, regional chains, national retailers, big-box stores and other strategic partners. The Business Development Manager will own the sales process from initial prospecting through account opening and launch. Once established, accounts will receive support from our internal sales and operations team, allowing this position to remain focused on generating new business and expanding distribution. This position reports directly to the Vice President.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new retail and wholesale opportunities throughout the United States. Develop relationships with buyers, category managers, purchasing teams and other key decision-makers. Prospect through phone, email, Linked In, trade shows, referrals and other appropriate channels. Present Fisher Space Pen products, programs and brand opportunities to prospective retailers. Develop opportunities with regional and national retail chains, including major strategic and big-box accounts. Manage the business-development pipeline from initial contact through presentation, negotiation and account opening. Coordinate samples, pricing, presentations and other materials required to secure new accounts. Work with internal sales, marketing, production and operations teams to successfully launch new customers. Attend relevant trade shows, buyer meetings and industry events. Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, follow-ups and expected revenue. Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, new accounts, opportunities, wins and losses. Continually identify new markets, retail categories and partnerships where the Fisher Space Pen brand can grow.
Qualifications: Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, wholesale sales or retail account development. Demonstrated ability to prospect and generate new business rather than relying solely on inbound leads. Experience selling physical consumer products to retailers is strongly preferred. Existing relationships with retail buyers, distributors or national/regional retail chains are a significant plus. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Organized and disciplined with consistent follow-up and pipeline management. Comfortable working independently and being held accountable to measurable sales goals. Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, customer meetings and other business-development opportunities.

Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience Performance Incentives: Additional compensation based on new business and sales performance. The compensation structure is designed to reward strong performance, with significant earning potential for individuals who successfully develop meaningful new business. Schedule & Location This is a full-time, on-site position at Fisher Space Pen Co. in Boulder City, Nevada, with travel as needed for customer meetings and trade shows. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their territory, actively creates opportunities and is motivated by the challenge of opening doors that aren't already open.
