About the role
Plant Process Equipment Operator Operates plant process equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include moving control settings to adjust equipment units, monitoring instruments and indicators, controlling chemical processes, recording operating data, conferring with personnel, conducting quality control tests, regulating or shutting down equipment during emergencies, starting pumps for various operations, interpreting chemical reactions, patrolling work areas, ensuring compliance with safety and project rules, overseeing powders production, ensuring quality of finished materials, sampling and packaging finished goods, reworking scrap material, following housekeeping guidelines, and performing other duties as assigned.
Job requirements include good oral and written communication skills, the ability to apply knowledge and skills to carry out instructions, problem-solving abilities, basic math skills, and the use of various tools and equipment. Work involves standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and fingering.
Physical requirements include standing 60% of the time, walking 20%, sitting 20%, lifting and carrying 50 lbs frequently, pushing and pulling 70 ft-lb frequently, and other physical activities as indicated.
