About the role
Job TitleMedical Data Systems, Inc (MDS) is seeking a professional, self-sufficient, highly motivated, dependable person to work in our support department.Job DescriptionThe primary responsibilities of the position are to process acknowledgement reports and post transactions in our collection system. This person must be able to handle a very high volume of detailed data processing and be able to work under tight performance guidelines. Position requires the strong ability to focus on detail and multi-task while working in a fast-paced, noisy atmosphere. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, office equipment, and have the ability to type at least 50 words per minute. This support position provides basic and advanced clerical functions within the EBO Division and assists the Support Team Leader, Operations Manager, Coaches and Customer Service Reps on a daily as needed basis.QualificationsCandidates must possess the following:High School Diploma/GED, or higher degree.Be familiar and proficient on a personal computer and understand basic Windows based operating systems.Strong knowledge and understanding of the EBO Private Pay process is strongly beneficial, but not mandatory.Proficient in Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.High degree of understanding of basic accounting/bookkeeping principles is preferred.Be able to work a shift of Monday Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.High degree of detail-orientation.Ability to multi-task and remain focused while performing repetitive tasks.Ability to work in a self-directed manner.DutiesThe following is a compilation of various duties that you may or will be asked to perform. Duties are not limited to this list.Manually post transactions for non-automated client systems.Accurately process via online systems credit cards and phone checks collected by EBO on a daily basis.Update Excel documents specific to the department.Perform various clerical type duties on a regular and as needed basis.
