For more information, visit imerit.aiABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an enthusiastic Application Engineer - GenAI. This position offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your skills in application development by technically supporting iMerit’s HiTech & GenAI Domain Sales and Marketing team and pod leaders. The role would involve dynamic and quick-turn-around time projects.
Location: USA | Remote role
Compensation: Up to $100,000PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESAs an application engineer, you will work with the Sales and Marketing (SM) team and pod leaders to develop custom application solutions to support iMerit’s clients. Provide quick turnaround PoCs for the SM team to demonstrate to clients during pre-sales phase Develop and maintain applications during the project tenure and ensure data formats, pipelines, operations are working as per expectation. Provide technical support for applications used by the iMerit internal annotation team and clients. Develop an understanding of the overall design of supported applications. Provide high-quality communication to internal users of the tool as well as clients, technical troubleshooting, resolution, and follow-through for all assigned customer issues and inquiries, ensuring we meet or exceed all customer and internal SLA’s. Troubleshoot application-related issues. Offer insights and feedback based on your support experiences. Interact directly with internal customers to understand their needs and provide effective communication. Document and maintain detailed records of support cases, resolutions, and interactions. Stay up-to-date with the features and design changes introduced by supported software releases. Assist in training and onboarding new support team members, sharing your knowledge and experience. Drive team coordination as a key decision-maker, fostering cross-functional alignment and streamlining communication across internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Education and Experience 2 - 5 years of experience in Python based applications development
  • Understanding and hand’s on skill in using LLMs and Agentic AIBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field(or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple issues while maintaining high-quality support
  • Core Technical SkillsStrong programming skills in Python programming.
  • Hands-on experience with databases and front-end technologies
  • Understanding of AI (LLM) native application development
  • Proficient in processes based around cloud file management like AWS S3 buckets and Google Cloud Storage.
  • Experience working with JSON, CSV, and similar structured data formats
  • Familiarity with handling large datasets and building/supporting data pipelines

Nice to Have: Has worked on Agentic trajectory evaluation harness development and dataset creation projects Has involved in developing Reinforcement Learning style workflows and environments for training and evaluation.
