About the role

Senior Financial Analyst Our client, a growing private equity-backed industrial manufacturing company headquartered in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with the private equity ownership group. The position offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, drive operational performance, and play a key role in value creation initiatives across the organization.
What You'll Do: Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow analysis, and executive-level variance reporting Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and working capital reporting dashboards Analyze plant-level performance, COGS, gross margin, inventory, and profitability trends Partner with operations leadership to monitor production variances, material costs, and manufacturing efficiency metrics Support capital investment planning, post-implementation reviews, and strategic growth initiatives Prepare Board, lender, and private equity reporting packages, including KPI tracking and EBITDA analyses Build financial models to support pricing strategies, customer profitability, capacity planning, new product launches, and investment decisions Participate in acquisition due diligence, integration efforts, and other strategic corporate initiatives
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 3-5+ years of progressive FP&A experience within manufacturing, industrial, or engineered products environments Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis skills Advanced Excel proficiency with experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis Ability to communicate complex financial information to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders Strong business partnering skills with finance, operations, and senior leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications: MBA, CPA, or CFA designation Experience supporting private equity-owned companies Manufacturing ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)Experience with M&A, due diligence, or strategic finance projects Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives
