Business Development Representative — Chicago, IL (2 openings, remote possibly moving to hybrid)Salary + 100% OTE + EquityOur client is a fast-growing scale-up in the public safety and security technology space, selling a SaaS platform into commercial markets. As they build out their inside sales team, they're hiring two Inside Sales Representatives to work out of their Chicago office. This is a true scale-up sales role — not a big-name, big-infrastructure environment. You'll work a mix of inbound leads and your own outbound prospecting, and you'll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, networking, and closing without a massive machine behind you.What you'll do- Run a high-velocity, transactional sales cycle from first contact to close, typically closing within 30 days- Sell into private security and field service businesses (commercial property, inspection, dispatch, and similar verticals) — this is a commercial motion, not a government or public-sector sale- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of inbound and self-sourced outbound opportunities- Consistently close new licensing deals, with a monthly new-business target of around 8 subscription deals- Become a product expert who can speak credibly and confidently to sharp, entrepreneurial business ownersWhat we're looking for- 1-3+ years in an inside sales, SDR/BDR, or similar quota-carrying role, ideally in SaaS- A track record of consistently hitting or exceeding sales targets- Strong phone and written communication skills, with the ability to hold your own with savvy, no-nonsense business owners- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, still-being-built environment- Based in or willing to work from the Chicago area, and willing to work in-officeWhat's on offer- Competitive on-target earnings with a base and uncapped commission, roughly split 50/50- Ground-floor opportunity with a company in a strong growth phase, with a clear path to more senior sales roles as the team scales- Supportive, collaborative in-office team culture Interested candidates can apply directly or reach out for a confidential conversation about the role and the company.
