As we continue to grow, we are looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our team at our Fort Pierce, FL headquarters. We are looking for someone who is competitive, personable, organized, and genuinely enjoys building relationships.
The ideal candidate: Has experience in inside sales, outside sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing sales roles. Has recreational marine industry experienceREQUIRED.Understands the dealer, marina, OEM, boat builder, or marine distribution environment. Is comfortable making outbound calls and developing relationships with new prospects. Is confident communicating with customers and decision-makers at all levels. Has strong follow-up habits and understands that consistent communication drives sales. Is highly organized and capable of managing multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle. Is comfortable discussing pricing, presenting value, overcoming objections, and closing business. Has strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Has experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce. Is proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Google Sheets. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Brings a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude to the workplace.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Generate and pursue new sales opportunities through inbound inquiries, outbound prospecting, referrals, dealer networks, and existing relationships. Serve as a primary point of contact for dealers, marinas, OEMs, boat builders, and customers seeking transportation solutions. Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong long-term customer relationships. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase transportation volume. Prepare, present, and follow up on transportation quotes with the goal of converting opportunities into booked business. Conduct consistent follow-up with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle. Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate transportation solutions. Introduce customers and industry partners to Palmetto Yacht Management's transportation services and proprietary technology. Work closely with outside sales representatives to develop accounts, pursue opportunities, and support territory growth. Account & Customer Management Manage multiple customer accounts and opportunities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional communication and service. Maintain accurate customer, contact, opportunity, and sales activity information within Salesforce. Track leads, quotes, follow-ups, opportunities, and sales forecasts. Develop relationships with key decision-makers within dealerships, marinas, OEMs, and boat manufacturers. Identify customer concerns and work with internal teams to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
