Working inside the facility, the Internal Ambassador ensures a welcoming, professional, and safe atmosphere by guiding individuals to their destinations, assisting with general inquiries, and providing non-clinical support to enhance the patient experience. Under the supervision of the MHS Team Lead or Manager, the Internal Ambassador plays a key role in improving customer satisfaction and operational flow within the hospital. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients, visitors, and hospital staff in a courteous and professional manner Provide directions and escort patients and visitors to appointments, departments, or waiting areas Respond to general inquiries and resolve concerns or redirect appropriately Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure smooth communication and support Monitor high-traffic areas to ensure a welcoming and organized environment Support patient discharge by coordinating transportation or providing wheelchair assistance if trained Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance in all assigned areas Communicate clearly with the MHS Team Lead or Manager regarding any incidents, delays, or unusual activity Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma/GED 6+ months of experience in a customer-facing or healthcare-related role preferred Must be able to work legally in the United States Must pass background and drug screenings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy hospital environment Passion for helping others and delivering excellent customer service Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distances Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours as needed
