About the role
- Own end-to-end strategy and profitability for the medical products category, including branded, preferred, and private label offerings
- Develop and execute plans to grow sales and margin across branded and private label products
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts, including cost, freight, payment terms, rebates, and co-op advertising funds
- Analyze sales, margin, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and underperforming brands and SKUs
- Lead new product introductions, assortment reviews, and vendor consolidation
- Set and track category KPIs (revenue, margin, inventory turns, market share) and report results to business leaders
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to execute category plans
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to keep the category ahead of industry trends Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in category management, purchasing, or procurement
- Proven track record of growing sales and margin through category strategies aligned with customer and market needs
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and vendor management
- Strong understanding of P&L management and financial metrics
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in medical products or the health and wellness space
- Private label development experience
- Familiarity with FDA labeling and recall requirements for medical products Why Join Us:
