Job Summary:
As part of a team providing 24/7 coverage to a hospital switchboard the Telephone Operator/General Clerk 3 links external and internal callers to the appropriate resources.
Job Description:
Respond to all incoming calls and internal communications using Cisco Finesse via Web Ex.
Serve as a resource to the caller, determine the nature of the call and direct to the appropriate department.
Implement specific protocol for handling emergencies and other notifications. Execute, respond and monitor all critical and emergency codes.
Record and transmit messages; keep records of calls placed; provide information to callers.
Represent Fora professionally, maintaining courteous and respectful communication.
Participate in supervision meetings, training, and required safety programs.
Follow all policies outlined in the site Procedures Manual and Fora's Employee Handbook.
Maintain a workplace free of harassment, discrimination, and unsafe conditions.
Report any safety, harassment, or discrimination concerns to a supervisor, Operations Manager or HR.

Where a question arises, to seek clarification from your operations manager or from senior management of Fora.
Meet with your direct supervisor as needed to provide all updates regarding work required in a timely and professional manner.
Adhere to all policies and professional standards set forth by Fora, including but not limited to ensuring that our workplace is free of all forms of harassment, sexual harassment and discrimination.
Must be able to meet all requirements for access to federal facilities, which includes presenting a REAL ID compliant license/ID, U.S. Passport, or other acceptable form of identification as required by the REAL ID Act
