About the role
Position Responsibilities:
Knowledge and ability to setup and operate all equipment and tooling, consistent with Die Maker "C", including manual and CNC safely Knowledge and ability to design, construct, diagnose, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, Amada tooling, and other Machined Parts to make quality components. Ability to analyze print specifications, setup and operate machine tools to manufacture parts to specifications. Knowledge and ability to use measuring tools, calculate Spring Life, Shut Height, Cutting and Forming Clearance, Progression and Die Timing. Ability to complete Die Changeovers and verify Set-up to Part Print for Verification.
Skills:
Ability to safely operate machines in the Die Shop and other equipment as necessary Ability to safely operate all powered forklift Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools to verify dimensions Ability to communicate respectfully and tactfully with others Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives Desire to learn new processes and procedures to improve business performance Lean Enterprise: Establish and utilize frameworks and systems, including tools such as 5S, visual management, problem solving, standard work and kaizen Adheres to and promotes Milbank Family Values Ability to cooperate and commit in a team environment to achieve goals and deliverables Resolve difficult or complicated challenges using the problem-solving process Actively embrace our core principals using courage, humility, and kaizen Physical Requirements: Full range of body motion- bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or otherwise maneuvering of the entire body and the dexterous use of both hands Ability to stand 100% of the time Heavy material handling and/or lifting will be required as described in the Physical Demands Analysis of the position Must be present at work when scheduled Working conditions: Plant floor environment, standing Education Requirements: Minimum: Machine Shop Technology Certificate or 2 years minimum work experience in machine shop and/or tool and die shop
