About the role
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the insurance industry, lawyers professional liability or related lines (preferred)
- Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Accounting, Finance or MBA; Juris Doctor (preferred)
- Deep understanding of the mutual insurance model, governance practices, and policyholder relationships
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that deliver profitable growth while managing underwriting risk and maintaining organizational culture
- Hands-on experience with state insurance departments, regulatory compliance and external stakeholder engagement
- Extensive knowledge in insurance financials, actuarial models, reserving, reinsurance strategies, underwriting, rates and capital management
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups, including the Board and external partners
- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change, foster a positive organizational culture and develop high-performing teams
