About the role
Role Field Reimbursement Manager supporting Outlook Therapeutics' U.S. launch of ophthalmic treatment for wet AMD, focusing on reimbursement strategy, customer education, and account management.
Responsibilitiesserve as primary reimbursement resource for retina/ophthalmology practices, educate staff on payer policies and billing, guide through prior authorization and appeals, lead quarterly business reviews, analyze claims data for denial patterns, and support cross‑functional coordination for launch readiness.
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience in reimbursement, market access, or patient services within pharma/biotech, with at least 2 years of hands-and-bill reimbursement experience; expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer coverage; proficiency with benefit verification, prior authorization, claims, and appeals; strong communication skills; willingness to travel 50-75%.
Preferredophthalmology or retina experience, HCPCS Level II (J-code), product launch support, professional coding or healthcare management certification.
High-Valueophthalmology/retina, buy-and-bill, product launch, payer landscape analysis.
Work Setupfield-based in Southern California, Arizona, Southern Nevada with significant travel.
