About the role
- Facilitating communication and implementation of initiatives with global collaborators including forging new relationships with multidisciplinary health professionals as well as diverse members of global communities
- Designing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating project-based initiatives.
- Utilizing project management tools to effectively coordinate priority work activities, provide regular progress reporting, and achieve project deliverables
- Communicating project plans and incorporating appropriate feedback from all relevant stakeholders
- Facilitating coordination of site visits and preparation of agenda, meeting materials, and summary reports
- Assisting with analyses of mixed methods research and implementation needs
- Developing and implementing standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics to ensure execution of project deliverables
- Designing compelling reports, research/policy briefs and messaging specifically tailored for needs in partnership with diverse collaborators
- Facilitating written and spoken discussions in live meetings, presentations, and email/written communications
- Assisting with preparation and tracking of grants, research manuscript submissions, and presentations including tracking
- Ensuring alignment across SJCRH, GPM, and St. Jude Global strategic plans and missions
- Engage with program management teams internally and vendors externally for coordination.
- May mentor less experienced team members.
- Ability to look at data more critically and draw meaningful conclusions. Conducts root-cause analysis as needed.
- Quickly rebounds from setbacks, including creating viable plans to move forward.
- Helps others understand the need for change and adapt to it. Effectively relays understanding of diverse perspectives.

- Demonstrates a good understanding of budget planning and tracking tools & processes as well as related internal policies and procedures related to grants, contracts etc. Tracks, reconciles and reports budget for own area, highlighting any deviations and escalating as needed.
- Communicates with other teams to drive budgeting processes, collecting information and sharing reports.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of more advanced data management tools, systems and processes.
- Is able to carry out more complex analysis of data, working with large/ complex data sets, to create reports for senior leaders.
- Exhibits strong critical thinking to identify trends and draw out insights; works with a high level of independence.
- Has working knowledge of project management and planning tools.
- Is able to effectively sequence and prioritize tasks within programs and works more independently to manage day to day issues, escalating as needed.
- Understands the overall program goals & customer needs, coordinates with cross functional teams and tracks dependencies & risks
- Participates in vendor evaluation processes based on a clear understanding of business needs and requisite vendor capabilities.
- Monitors vendor performance against desired outcomes, and proactively collaborates with vendor teams to pre-empt potential issues.
