Role Description: The Growth Manager, Retention & Conversion (CPG) is a contract, remote role responsible for driving customer retention, optimizing conversion, and increasing lifetime value across digital and physical channels. Day-to-day work includes analyzing customer data and cohort performance, identifying drop-off points in the funnel, and designing experiments to improve subscription retention, repeat purchase behavior, and cross-sell/upsell opportunities. The role manages lifecycle campaigns (email, SMS, and other CRM touchpoints), optimizing messaging, segmentation, and timing to increase engagement and conversion rates. The Growth Manager partners closely with marketing, product, and operations to refine offers, improve onboarding and post-purchase experiences, and ensure cohesive brand communication across the customer journey. The role also involves setting clear metrics, reporting on performance, and continuously testing strategies to improve results.
Qualifications: Experience with retention and lifecycle marketing, including email and SMS campaigns, CRM programs, and subscription or repeat-purchase strategies. Strong data and analytics skills, including cohort analysis, funnel optimization, A/B testing, and interpreting performance dashboards to recommend actions. Background in CPG, eCommerce, or DTC brands, with familiarity in customer journey mapping, merchandising tactics, and promotional strategies. Ability to collaborate in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders. Comfort with marketing and analytics tools (e.g., email/SMS platforms, CRM, eCommerce platforms, and analytics suites such as Google Analytics or similar).Demonstrated ability to develop hypotheses, design experiments, and iterate quickly based on results and customer insights. Knowledge of wellness, coaching, or health-focused brands is beneficial, as is prior experience supporting small, fast-paced teams or startups. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
