About the role

The Mayo Clinic Department of Psychiatry and Psychology is seeking an outstanding adult psychiatrist to participate in an innovative model delivering mental health care to a large primary care population in Rochester and surrounding communities in southeastern Minnesota. The Division of Integrated Behavioral Health includes a collaborative team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, APRNs, RN care coordinators, and primary care providers. This team has successfully implemented several evidence-based models of primary care delivery, including the Collaborative Care Model. The psychiatrist will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating integrated care delivery models and participate in research and quality projects that evaluate their impact. Clinical work will consist of face-to-face care, telemedicine, and indirect care. In addition to clinical service provision, the successful candidate is also expected to participate in advancing the educational mission of Mayo Clinic, including active participation in the residency and fellowship training programs, and engage in collaborative research efforts across the division and department. The psychiatrist may also apply for departmental-sponsored research time (up to 20%) within the first 3 years of their appointment in accordance with established research program guidelines. Academic rank in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine will be granted commensurate with experience.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
