Job Description:
SAIC has an opening for an entry level Paint Shop Technician in Indianapolis, IN.This position will be 2nd shift, 3:00pm EST to 11:30pm ESTJOB DUTIES: Perform sanding, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes.
Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts.
Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.
Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures.
Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary.
Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when necessary.
Follow corporate and local office policies and procedures including but not limited to; daily timecard recording and Email checks.
WORK WEEK:
Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day. QualificationsEDUCATION EXPERIENCE:HS/GED. BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGMENT REQUIRMENTS:Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes is a plus. Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted. Basic computer skills are a must (Logging in, Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking, etc.).CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation.
