Production Supervisor / Plant Manager Job OverviewWe're growing our pressroom team and are looking for UV Press Operator Trainees and Experienced UV Press Operators. Whether you're eager to learn a skilled trade or ready to step in with hands-on experience, this role offers the opportunity to work with advanced UV printing technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Placement and responsibilities will be based on experience, with training provided for trainees.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities vary based on experience level Set up and operate UV printing pressesRead and interpret job tickets, work orders, and print specificationsPerform press make-readies and maintain run-speed standardsChange plates, blankets, and cylinders as neededMonitor print quality, including ink coverage, density, registration, and color accuracyMatch color proofs and customer samplesMinimize waste and downtime by monitoring production performancePerform routine cleaning, wash-ups, and basic maintenanceAccurately record press time, materials, and production dataTroubleshoot press issues and report maintenance or safety concernsFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures What We're Looking ForTrainees: Mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learnExperienced Operators: Prior experience operating UV or offset printing pressesAbility to work in a hands-on, fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsFlexibility to work varying schedules, including future 12-hour shifts Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and move throughout the production floorAbility to lift up to 50 lbs using proper safety techniques
