About the role

About Us: Light Horse Securities is a FINRA-registered broker-dealer, clearing through Apex, and the home of Light Horse Advisory, our registered investment adviser. We’re building the agentic brokerage: a firm that serves investors and, increasingly, the AI agents that act on their behalf. Our operations team is small by design. Our DNA is technology, and we’d rather build systems that scale than add headcount to absorb volume. Operations here sits close to engineering and product, and the people on it help shape how the platform works, not just how it’s serviced.
The Role: We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to run our brokerage operations, help stand up RIA operations, and build the operating model for a world where a growing share of account activity is initiated by AI agents rather than people tapping buttons. You’ll own the day-to-day desk, design agentic workflows that let a small team operate with the reach of a large one, and help define the controls that make agent-driven investing safe for clients and the firm. There’s no established industry playbook for much of this. We want someone with deep operational fundamentals and the judgment to write the playbook with us. New responsibilities group, placed after “Design agentic operations”:Operate for clients’ AI agents Help define how client-authorized AI agents access accounts and act on them: authorization and consent records, permission scopes, limits, and revocation Build monitoring and surveillance for agent-originated activity, such as abnormal order patterns, runaway or looping agents, and activity outside authorized scope, with clear kill-switch and escalation procedures Own error resolution for agent-initiated orders and account actions, including client communication and root-cause analysis Work with compliance to keep supervision, trade surveillance, and written procedures current as agent activity grows Additional qualification: Familiarity with API-based or algorithmic order flow and the supervisory and risk controls it requires (market access controls, algorithmic trading supervision); experience with API brokerage clients is a strong plus Series 7 is a must; Series 4 is a plus
Why Join:
  • Help build the first generation of brokerage operations designed for AI agents as well as people
  • Lean, technical team where your workflows become how the firm runs
  • Short decision cycles and direct access to leadership, engineering, and product

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
