About the role
Substitute Librarian - After HoursDwight-Englewood School is currently searching for a Substitute Librarian to work after school from 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm. This position will support students from grades 6 - 12.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Middle and Upper School students in the library space in a firm, yet positive and inviting manner.
Support and model the spirit of the Mission and Foundation Documents of the Dwight-Englewood School in work with students, faculty, parents and community members.
Demonstrate knowledge of, experience with, the developmental, social, emotional and cognitive issues of the middle and upper school grades.
The ability to listen, work with a diverse community and a range of learners, as well as humor and humility, are essential.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum of sixty (60) college credits completed
- Experience with, and a commitment to, diversity and equity work
- Previous experience working in a library or a middle/upper school setting preferred
- Understanding use of technology in a library setting.
