About the role
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Audio Technicianto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experiencein residential and commercial audio/video integration, becertified in Control 4 and Lutron systems, and possess strong leadership, troubleshooting, and project management skills. This position is responsible for overseeing installations, supervising field technicians, ensuring quality standards are met, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audio/video installation projects from start to finish.
Supervise and mentor installation technicians on job sites.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot advanced audio, video, networking, automation, and control systems.
Program and commission Control 4 automation systems.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Lutron lighting control and shading systems.
Interpret system designs, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and project documentation.
Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure installations meet company standards.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, builders, electricians, and other trades.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and post-installation service calls.
Train clients on the operation of integrated technology systems.
Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and workplace safety requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experiencein custom audio/video integration and automation systems.
Current Control 4 Certification(Installer and/or Programmer).
Current Lutron Certification(RadioRA, Home Works, or equivalent).
Extensive experience with:
Distributed audio systems
Home theater systems
Video distribution systems
Structured wiring
Networking and Wi-Fi systems
Security and surveillance integration
Smart home automation platforms Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders and in construction environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications from manufacturers such as Sonos,, Ubiquiti, or Josh.ai.
Experience managing installation teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Knowledge of residential and low-voltage systems.
