About the role
- Prospect and contact potential customers
- Phone communication and direct sales contact is needed to acquire and develop business relationships
- Present and sell company products/services to new and existing customers to drive sales growth
- Monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue
- Meet or exceed sales targets by deadline(s)
- Ability to learn and understand inventory and manufacturing capabilities
- Schedule appointments and follow up appointments to build relationships and to keep customers informed of latest product offerings
- Create sales material to present to customers
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects to attempt to turn them into customers
- Update client information in the company contact database
- Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Must possess strong interpersonal communicate skills and demonstrate the ability to build rapport with clients
- Must have strong negotiation skills
- Demonstrated detail orientation
- Must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Must be willing to do some travelling
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be comfortable working with little to no direction
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a phone, computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
- Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone
- This position is in a normal business office environment
- Average office noise levels
- Ambient temperature between 68 and 76 degrees
