Role Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant at Bergen Medical Sports & Spine supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitation and patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with therapeutic exercises and manual techniques, monitoring patient progress, and documenting interventions in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. This is an on-site role located in West Orange, NJ.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to support therapists in delivering treatment plans. Ability to provide Quality Patient Care with a focus on safety, empathy, and patient education. Experience or strong interest in Orthopedics and sports or spine-related conditions. Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and active state licensure or eligibility in New Jersey. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the clinical team. Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and manage time efficiently in a busy outpatient setting. Basic computer literacy for electronic health record (EHR) documentation and scheduling; prior outpatient or sports medicine experience is a plus.
