Underground and Open Pit Mining Engineer - Remote Opportunity, U.S.ASRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. We are seeking a Underground and Open Pit Mining Engineer. Description of
Responsibilities: Technical and project management support for engineering studies (scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility) Technical deliverables, budgeting and scheduling Provide operational advice to, and interface regularly, with clients Perform due diligence and independent reporting projects Actively engage in business development Actively engage in development and/or advancement of SRK`s engineering practices Other duties as assigned A bachelor`s degree in mining engineering or related field Minimum of fifteen (15) years` post-graduate industry experience in underground mining, mine planning, and preferably with a diverse range of commodities Proficiency with computerized mine planning and optimization tools, e.g. Deswik, Datamine, Mine Sight, Vulcan Strong inter-personal communication and writing skills Ability and desire to collaborate with other technical specialists The ability to work in a dynamic, flexible workplace Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own time effectively Ability and willingness to travel internationally Must be legally authorized to work in the United States This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and overseas; international travel may form a significant part of the role.
