Role Description:
The Maintenance Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting the reliability and performance of the company’s equipment, tools, and technology assets. On a day-to-day basis, this role focuses on monitoring system and equipment functionality, performing routine checks, and coordinating preventive maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Specialist will identify potential issues, troubleshoot basic problems, and work with internal teams or external vendors to resolve maintenance and repair needs. This role maintains documentation of maintenance activities, updates logs, and helps create maintenance schedules to reduce downtime. The Maintenance Specialist collaborates with operations and technology teams to ensure resources remain safe, functional, and compliant with company standards.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and general Maintenance to ensure systems and tools operate reliably. Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to plan and perform routine checks that minimize outages and disruptions. Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair to address identified issues and coordinate repairs as needed. Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose basic technical or equipment problems and escalate complex issues appropriately. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Comfort working independently in a remote environment and communicating clearly with cross-functional teams. Basic familiarity with office or technical equipment and standard productivity software; insurance or office operations experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in maintenance or related fields is beneficial.
