Noticias EstrellaTV is seeking a forward-thinking Executive Producer of Content Innovation to create daily local news segments and digital updates for Estrella’s Spanish-language stations in Los Angeles and Houston!
This role combines news judgment, writing, video editing, AI-assisted production, and workflow development. The successful candidate will produce accurate, engaging local news content under tight deadlines. The Executive Producer of Content Innovation will also help build and lead a growing team as our operation expands, ultimately creating scalable workflows to support future growth across the company.
Responsibilities
Produce, write, and edit daily Spanish-language local news segments for KZJL and KRCA, as well as other stations as needed
Use AI, automation, and emerging tools to support research, scripting, editing, and production
Select and prioritize the most relevant stories for each market
Verify all content and maintain high standards for accuracy, ethics, fairness, and quality
Manage tight deadlines, multiple markets, and production needs independently
Develop new and efficient workflows and quality-control systems
Respond quickly to breaking news and changing editorial needs
Recruit, train, and lead additional team members as we expand
Communicate clearly with team members and station leaders.
Work closely with station leadership and other internal teams on additional duties as-needed
Publish and manage website and social media content for the stations
Qualifications
Three to five years of news producing experience on broadcast, digital, streaming, podcasts, and/or or other platforms
Excellent Spanish-language writing, editing, and communication skills
Strong editorial judgment and understanding of responsible journalism
Excited to use AI-assisted tools and to learn and pitch new AI-assisted and automated production technology
Writing, video editing, and content production experience
Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and able to work well under pressure
Able to work independently and make sound decisions with limited supervision
Creative, innovative and interested in developing new systems and workflows
Leadership or team management experience preferred
This position may be eligible for remote work. Candidates who reside near a company location may be expected to work from that office.
