Paralegal Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to a growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience supporting legal matters involving real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and contracts. Assist attorneys with case management, legal research, and document preparation. Support residential and commercial real estate transactions by preparing deeds, affidavits, closing documents, and other related legal documents. Review title commitments, surveys, and property records, and assist in resolving title issues. Coordinate real estate closings with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and real estate professionals. Prepare settlement statements and post-closing documentation, and ensure documents are recorded with the appropriate agencies. Maintain accurate client files, calendars, and case management systems. Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal and administrative tasks. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, government agencies, and third parties. Assist with additional legal and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience required. Experience supporting residential and/or commercial real estate transactions, including document preparation, title review, and closing coordination. Strong knowledge of legal terminology, document preparation, and office procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
