About the role
Director of Clinical Development / Medical Monitor — Ophthalmology We're hiring a physician to serve as Medical Monitor for a clinical-stage wet AMD program built on a proprietary RNAi (siRNA) platform, delivered via intravitreal injection.
What you'll do:
Serve as Medical Monitor across Phase 1/2 wet AMD trials, reviewing safety data, ophthalmic and systemic AEs, and DLTsContribute to clinical development plans, protocol design, and endpoint strategy (BCVA, IOP, retinal imaging)Engage with FDA on IND-stage and ongoing regulatory interactions Partner cross-functionally with clinical operations, biostatistics, and CRO teams Build relationships with retina specialist KOLs and investigators Who we're looking for: MD required; board certification in Ophthalmology (retina subspecialty strongly preferred) or relevant clinical background Industry clinical development experience in ophthalmology, ideally with intravitreal or retinal disease programs Experience with RNAi, siRNA, gene therapy, or other novel biologic modalities a plus Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving clinical-stage environment Strong regulatory and safety-monitoring background If this sounds like you, or someone in your network, reach out.
