Strategic Account Manager – Industrial Distribution
Location: Northeast / Midwest preferred
Compensation: Competitive base + incentive
Industry: Industrial Equipment / MRO / Manufacturing
We’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager who already knows how to navigate the corporate level of major industrial distributors. This is not simply a territory sales role. The right person has established relationships and experience selling into and through organizations such as Grainger, MSC Industrial Supply, Fastenal, Motion, Ferguson, or similar national industrial/MRO distributors.
What We're Looking For: You should have experience:
  • Building relationships with senior and corporate-level decision makers at Grainger and/or comparable national distributors
  • Navigating distributor corporate structures, including category management, sourcing, merchandising, national accounts, and executive leadership
  • Negotiating pricing programs, stocking agreements, national programs, and strategic account initiatives
  • Developing executive-level account plans and conducting annual/quarterly business reviews
  • Creating pull-through demand with end users while leveraging the distributor channel
  • Growing strategic accounts beyond individual branches or territories
  • Selling industrial equipment, MRO solutions, maintenance products, engineered products, or related solutions
