Job Title: QE Automation Architect Playwright / AI
Location: Bethesda, MD Hybrid
Job Type: Contract/FTE
Job Description:
We are looking for a QE Automation Architect with 1015+ years of Quality Engineering/Test Automation experience and strong, recent hands-on expertise in Playwright. The ideal candidate should be able to design automation frameworks from scratch and operate at an Architect/Lead level while remaining hands-on.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on Playwright experience mandatory
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch
- Strong UI and API automation experience
- Experience with Selenium, PyTest, REST Assured, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of CI/CD Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOpsExperience with cross-browser testing, parallel execution, POM, and scalable automation
- Strong Architect/Lead-level technical leadership and mentoring experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle client-facing technical discussions
- Good to HaveGenAI / LLM / Agentic AI / MCP / AI-powered testing experience
- Exposure to RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, Copilot, or Cursor
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with Browser

- Design and implement scalable Playwright automation frameworks
- Define QE automation strategy, standards, and best practices
- Drive UI/API automation and CI/CD integration
- Lead AI-powered testing and modern QE initiatives
- Mentor QE engineers and provide technical leadership
- Partner with engineering, product, and clients to drive quality across the SDLC
