About the role
Valve Assembly and Testing Position This is a temporary position with potential for full-time. The successful candidate will be referred to Remedy Staffing Services.
Summary: This position is responsible for the assembly and testing of valves.
Essential Functions:
A representative summary of tasks to be performed is provided below. The employee may be asked to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in this description. The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values and operating principles of Flow Safe Inc. Assemble Flow Safe valves per procedure. Set up specialized test equipment to diagnose, test and validate the performance of high-pressure valve products and other pressure components. Conduct end-of-line functional testing on valve components and record results. Compare test results to specifications and set valve products to order requirements. Assist with testing equipment maintenance and/or repair. Perform maintenance on shop equipment. Maintain test results and records. Carry out valve or valve subcomponent testing in support of engineering team. Assist in building and testing valve prototypes to \"VR\" repairs to Flow Safe valves in accordance with applicable procedures. Production-test final assemblies to ensure compliance with customer and Flow Safe requirements; documents all test results. Evaluate and troubleshoot valve failures Perform peer inspection of final assemblies before delivery to Quality or Shipping.
Qualifications: Education and
Work Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing / testing environment
Other Qualifications:
Post-secondary course in pressure testing techniques and testing equipment an asset Ability to read, and interpret drawing specifications and blueprints required. Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval. Safety and quality training a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Attention to details and ability to understand and follow procedures. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Problem solving – Ability to identify problems and the solutions to them. Organizational Expectations: Safety - Shows concern for safety, identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others. Quality – Follows up to ensure high quality output, takes action to solve quality problems or communicate quality issues to management.
