About the role
The company specializes in commercial construction with a strong focus on high-end interiors, delivering detailed, finish-driven projects throughout the Miami market. They are looking to add an Estimator to their already high performing team
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare detailed estimates for commercial construction projects Perform quantity takeoffs and review architectural, structural and MEP drawings Develop scopes of work and bid packages Solicit, review and level subcontractor/vendor pricing Work closely with Project Managers on bid strategy and project handoff Review RFIs, addenda and drawing revisions Identify value engineering opportunities and potential scope gaps Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors What We're Looking For 2+ years of construction estimating experience Experience with a General Contractor preferred Experience working on high-end interiors, either commercial or residential Ideally experienced on projects ranging from approximately 5,000 to 20,000 SFStrong understanding of detailed interior finishes and construction drawings Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, STACK or similar Strong communication, organization and attention to detail
