About the role
Owning the day-to-day operations of Mercury's Operational Risk program, the full-time Senior Operational Risk Manager will manage the centralized issues and events program, coordinate risk assessments, and drive reporting for leadership in a remote or onsite capacity across various locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Key responsibilities:
Set standards for risk and control assessments, reviewing and challenging first-line RCMs
Oversee the operational event program, including root cause analysis and trending of events
Own the centralized issues management program, managing intake, triage, and remediation tracking
Required qualifications:
8+ years of experience in operational risk, compliance, or internal audit within a bank or fintech
Hands-on experience with issues management or operational event programs
Familiarity with administering a GRC platform, such as LogicGate or Archer
Strong data analysis skills to identify trends from raw issue and event data
Understanding of interagency and OCC expectations for operational risk management
