Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Salesperson to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the freight and logistics industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building lasting client relationships. This role focuses on driving new business, maintaining existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities in the freight and logistics sector. Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction. Provide quotes and solutions tailored to client needs, including freight options, pricing, and timelines. Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments. Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Stay up-to-date with market trends, carrier rates, and industry regulations. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s services. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activity in CRM systems.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in freight sales, transportation, or logistics. Strong understanding of freight, shipping, and supply chain operations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred:
Existing network in the logistics or freight industry. Knowledge of domestic and international freight regulations.
