Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a services environment in Massachusetts. This contract position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, handles incoming calls with confidence, and creates a positive first impression for visitors and clients. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy phone system while assisting with general administrative support.
Responsibilities: Greet visitors and direct them appropriately to ensure a courteous and efficient front-office experience. Manage a multi-line phone system by answering, screening, and routing incoming calls to the correct contacts. Maintain an orderly reception area and help create a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff. Respond to general inquiries by phone and in person with accuracy, courtesy, and tact. Support routine administrative tasks such as taking messages, handling basic correspondence, and assisting with office coordination. Monitor front-desk activity throughout the day and help ensure smooth communication between internal teams and external contacts. Experience performing front-desk or receptionist duties in an office setting. Ability to operate a multi-line switchboard or phone system handling up to 10 lines. Strong verbal communication skills with a courteous and service-oriented approach. Proven ability to answer and route inbound calls accurately and efficiently. Comfortable working in a part-time schedule within a contract assignment. Reliable organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
