Editorial Rotational ProgramThe Editorial Rotational Program mission is to accelerate the professional growth and development of Early Career Editorial professionals through exposure to a multitude of assignments, apprenticeship style learning, and accelerated responsibility. We are looking for driven, tenacious, and pragmatic team members who have the desire and potential to rise over time into a significant contributor within the Editorial team and our broader direct-to-consumer lifestyle business.As a full time Editorial Assistant, this program offers employees the opportunity to explore multiple areas of the business including: Industry Relations, Licensing, Contracts & Operations, Book Selections, Member Experience Initiatives, and Allurial, our Romantasy business. After approximately 2 years, team members will have the opportunity to be placed in a more specialized role based on business needs, individual performance, and interests demonstrated over the previous years.Success in this program will be achieved by approaching work with the following characteristics:Making High Quality Work: Learning how to organize, prioritize, and check work for efficiency, accuracy, and proper formattingGetting Things Done: Exhibits sense of urgency & follow through in assigned tasks; proactively communicates status updates of tasksPossessing Good Judgment: Demonstrates upward trajectory in thinking through steps of work thoroughly and logically.Being A Good Learner: Receives feedback well and incorporates it to improveWhat you will doAssistant to the Editorial Director: Manage the Editorial Director's calendar, develop presentations for publishers, and execute components of BOTM's podcast operations.Book Selections: Assist with the Selections process, including maintaining our book database, drafting editorial copy, and conducting data analysis of book performance.Editorial Operations: Draft and execute licensing agreements, input Editorial content into company systems, and assist with components of hardcover and audiobook production.Department of Cultural Arts & Sciences: Support the coordination and execution of cross-functional business initiatives, including original print acquisition and Collections.Allurial: Assist with Editorial and Marketing initiatives for Allurial, our Romantasy business, including reading and evaluating books, executing on ads and creative, and managing our influencer program.Member Experience: Project manage Member Experience initiatives, optimize box rate and books per box through testing and reporting, and serve as the voice of the member by synthesizing platform insights.About youStrong work ethic; ability to learn quickly, take on new challenges, and apply feedbackA desire to learn quickly and grow over timeExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong prioritization skills that allow you to keep projects on trackAbility to do math and conduct data analysisStrong writing and proofreading skills, as well as excellent attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface comfortably with people at all levelsGreat judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and careFast and avid reader with a deep knowledge of contemporary commercial fictionBase Salary: $70,000
