Job Title: Electrical Validation Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract We are seeking an experienced Electrical Validation Engineer to support the validation of next-generation consumer electronic and wearable products. This role will focus on monitoring validation progress, reviewing test results, analyzing failures, and partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to drive technical issues to resolution. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on laboratory measurement expertise with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions across hardware development teams. While this position includes some bench-level debugging, the primary emphasis is on validation execution, issue management, and ensuring successful product readiness.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 4+ years of experience in electrical hardware validation. Strong experience with Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) validation. Experience characterizing power regulation circuits, DC-DC converters, and power distribution networks. Strong understanding of high-speed digital interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, MIPI, and related protocols. Ability to analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution. Strong schematic interpretation skills and understanding of power architecture. Experience reviewing PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, and debug accessibility. Expertise using laboratory equipment including: Active and differential probes Spectrum analyzers Source measurement units (SMUs) Understanding of transmission line theory, impedance control, and high-speed signal measurement. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with wearable, mobile, consumer electronics, or IoT products. Familiarity with prototype development and new product introduction (NPI) environments. Experience supporting contract manufacturers (CMs) or manufacturing partners. Knowledge of RF measurements, wireless systems, or antenna characterization. Experience using issue tracking and project coordination tools. Experience supporting EVT, DVT, and production validation phases.
