Essential Functions:
Statement(s) Inputs claims into database as required, audits claims submitted on-line for completeness and accuracy of data. Corresponds directly with consumers as needed to gather additional required data for processing Reviews incoming complaints for duplicates Assess product and mode of complaint for proper reason coding within database Assigns claims to Warranty Specialists based on regional responsibilities or in a manner to balance volume or needs of the business Creates and maintains warranty claim packets and files, including historical archives Prepares and sends retail/homeowner documentation, including completing check requests, preparing letters and updating database to reflect complaint status and closures Maintains data integrity in claims database, including claims status, address book maintenance and auditing data Monitors files awaiting warranty information Reviews and monitors open claims report Closes inactive claim files Files completed claims and maintains file archives•Provides continuous updates to Warranty Specialists on status of claims•Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/managementSKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Advanced education and/or related certification(s), a plus.
Experience: None required; Up to three years in a similar position preferred
Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook; Knowledge of ERP system (i.e. JD Edwards), a plus; Typing skills (30 wpm), a plus
